Dr. Colt Injured in Invasion

AP--Paragon City, Rhode Island. Reports have surfaced that Dr. Maxwell Colt, leader of the Jupiter Foundation, was rushed to the nearby Atlas Park hospital after a recent Rikti invasion wave. Details are few but what is known is the doctor's was found unconscious north of Prometheus Park and eyewitness accounts state he collapsed from injuries sustained while defending two civilians from Rikti invaders.

"He kept these two huge Rikti at bay while this young couple ran for shelter in a building. I thought he was going to make it too but then three more Rikti came from nowhere. When they finally left, he was just lying there on the sidewalk," said John Parsons. Parsons is reported to have seen the entire event while taking shelter in his car. "I think I was the first one there. He seemed pretty banged up. I don't know why he didn't get transported back to the hospital."

A Longbow agent, speaking in anonymity, states she was on the scene immediately after the all clear was sounded. "Things have gotten pretty chaotic since the waves started. But, I heard the call that Dr. Colt might be injured and I flew over as soon as I heard it on the comm. I'm a big admirer of his work and if I could help him in any way, I was going to do it." She went on to state, "He had taken a few injuries but I think he'll be alright. After the past week, I've seen worse. Much worse."

The Jupiter Foundation has reported that Dr. Colt left the office building on undisclosed business a few hours prior to the following round of Rikti attacks. They have not, however, officially stated Dr. Colt's condition or if he is still in the Atlas Park Hospital. Atlas Park hospital has refused comment but has stated that none of their teleportation systems were overloaded the day of the attack which might have explained Dr. Colt not being instantly transported for care.
